Kwara United FC rewards players

The management of Kwara United FC of Ilorin has rewarded three players for their outstanding performances in the first stanza of the Nigeria National league (NNL).
The General Manager of the club, Alhaji Haruna Maigidasanma, masde the disclosure the on Monday in Ilorin while addressing newsmen.
Maigidasanma urged the players to do more for the club by ensuring the club won all away matches in the second round of the league.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Samuel Adegbenro won the club’s Most Value Player (MVP) and Segun Alebiosu the Highest Goal Scorer award, while Gata Adeshina emerged the Youngest Best Player.
The manager while congratulating the award winners said the reward was an innovation in the club.
He promised to continue to reward hard work among staff, players and technical crew of the club.
Maigidasanma assured the players and officials that the management would do everything to help them to discharge their duties with ease.
He disclosed that as part of the new development, the management would soon increase some players’ salaries for their hard work.
He pledged that the reward would also go to others who improved on their performances.
The general manager charged the technical crew to work harder to consolidate on their second position on the table.
He also urged them to dethrone the league leaders, Wikki Tourist of Bauchi.
Lateef Adigun and Alebiosu second half strikes gave the Afonja Warriors a 2-0 victory over Sokoto United in Ilorin on Saturday.
Alebiosu’s goal was his ninth goal of the season.
Kwara United will travel to Lokoja at the weekend to lock horns with Kogi United in a North-Central derby. (NAN)
