Eagles battle bosnia for survival

When the Super Eagles face the Golden Lilies of Bosnia-Herzegovina today in Cuiaba, they will be having more than just a FIFA World Cup match in their hands.
Even though, Bosnia-Herzegovina made their FIFA World Cup debut when they lost 1-2 to Argentina in the first Group F match on Monday, the Eagles are in a match they must win.
The Bosnians, going by their showing against Argentina, seem to be ready to prove their worth even as debutantes.

Their performance in their first match was impressive as they gave the Argentines a good run for their money in spite of the loss.
Although they conceded an early goal in the third minute, Bedad Ivisevic gave the debutantes their first ever World Cup goal with an inspiring shot.
But when they face the African champions at the Arena Pantanal, they will also be needing to secure an outright win to get hopes of qualifying for the Round of 16. One player the Super Eagles should be cautious of is Manchester City’s striker Edin Dzeko and Edin Visca.
But if some Super Eagles’ players happen to be at their best in the must-win match, they may become hard nuts to crack for the World Cup debutantes. Players like Victor Moses, Emmanuel Emenike, Ahmed Musa, Osaze Odemwingie and Mikel Obi are those good enough to give the Bosnians some worrying moments.
Whatever happens, it is quite clear that Saturday’s result will be a major determinant of how far both teams can go in this 20th edition of the biggest football event.
