Funsho Williams: Judge adjourns further hearing to Oct 24
Lagos—Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia of a Federal High Court in Lagos, yesterday, fixed November 24 for further hearing in a suit instituted by one Bashir Junaid, a detainee, over the murder of a former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos State, Funsho Williams.
The suit is seeking an order to compel the Inspector-General of Police to reopen investigations into the murder of the politician.
Listed as defendants in the suit are the Inspector-General of Police, Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Mr. Sunday Ehindero, former IGP & IPO to Funsho Williams’ murder case, Attorney-General of the Federation, Mrs Modupe Shasore and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Others are Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Dr. Muiz Banire, Mr. Babatunde Edu, Mr Dele Alake, and Henry Oladele Ajomale.
At the resumed hearing of the matter yesterday, the plaintiff’s lawyer, Tunji Adesheye, urged the court to regularise his client’s counter-affidavit to the preliminary objection of the 3rd defendant in the suit, Sunday Ehindero.
