Fashola pays condolence visit to late Dimbga Igwe’s family

Lagos  - Gov. Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State on Wednesday paid a condolence visit to the family of late frontline journalist, Mr Dimbga Igwe.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Fashola was accompanied on the visit to the deceased`s Okota home by some of his aides, including Mr Hakeem Bello, his Special Adviser on Media.
They were received by the wife of the deceased, Obioma, his children, and other family members.
The governor condoled with the family on the loss of their patriarch and prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul.
Fashola described the late Dimgba as a friend and brother, saying his death was not only a loss to journalism and the nation, but also a personal loss to him.
“Dimgba, you are my friend and brother. How do I explain this separation especially with our unfinished work?
“You are really a great and a wonderful person. I will miss you,’’ Fashola wrote in the condolence register.
Dimgba was knocked down by a hit-and-run driver while jogging around his neighbourhood on Saturday morning.
He was thereafter rushed to a hospital where he later died at the age of 58.
